After many extraordinary events organized by Events & Promotion, an idea by Antonio Rubino, here’s another one, apparently the most original original: That’s Amore. This time will be the setting for Ostuni, one of the most beautiful cities not only in Puglia, the queen of the Pugliese summer that for over twenty years receives the Blue Flag and the five sails of Legambiente thanks to the cleanliness of the sea and the services offered .
It is one of the most famous countries of the Salento peninsula, competing for the record with Otranto, Lecce, Santa Maria di Leuca, Gallipoli and Vieste. The location is Via Quaranta, the so-called street, a hundred meters from Piazza della Libertà, practically that of the Town Hall, 300 meters from a large parking lot.
A breathtaking view where you can see the sea even if a few kilometers, but especially the right audience to see a unique event in history. In fact, in the night between 27 and 28 July you can watch the night of the Red Moon, a “moon of blood”, the total eclipse of the longest terrestrial satellite of the century. At sunset, the full moon will already be partly eclipsed and gradually the shadow of the Earth will invade it completely dyeing a dark red until 23.13, when it will start the exit from the shadow cone projected from our planet . The phenomenon can be visible even to the naked eye.
It is one of the five eclipses planned in 2018, but certainly the longest and most suggestive one, and Via Quaranta is ideal for choosing a place as far as possible without artificial lighting in order to fully enjoy the experience. But it’s not the only surprise of the evening. Close to the moon in eclipse from the horizon will arise Marte, which will be found at 57.5 million kilometers from the Earth, little more than the minimum distance possible (56 million kilometers).
To admire this spectacle of nature, That’s Amore will be the food and wine event par excellence during which pure romance prevails, with highly sought-after food and wine stands, purely Apulian, romantic lighting, the traveling Neapolitan songs of the legendary pummarola sound, among which miss ‘red moon’. Do not miss the fresh beer and for those who do not drink it, three of the best wineries in Puglia. An old-fashioned setting with old light bulbs will be set up.
There will be some markets, but spotlight on the Pummarola Sound that will walk singing the most famous Neapolitan love melodies. The group is famous for having sung with many stars like Renzo Arbore. In recent days he has been the protagonist along with many celebrities on the Costa Smeralda. Admission is free and free.
The slogan: “If you are not romantic / or you do not come” has become viral. A novelty is the communication used to promote the event. This is how the journalist and advertising Antonio Rubino defined it “We made a communication mainly in English. We were immediately in perfect symbiosis with the Municipal Administration of Ostuni in particular with the Councilor for Tourism Vittorio Carparelli who shared the event.
Our goal is to bring to That’s Amore many foreign tourists, but also Italians, to let them spend some unforgettable hours in a magical and suggestive place that will probably leave after a few days, especially if their holidays end at the end of the month. It will be a romantic event, during which, if you are not in love, you risk being so, perhaps a beautiful foreigner, or a peaceable Apulian similar to Alberto Sordi in the film by Dino Risi “Venice, the moon and you”, when he played the Bepi gondolier who flirted with the American while he was engaged to Nina.
That’s Amore will be an extremely romantic event for men and women of all ages as long as romantic and possibly in love. The eclipse will then make this event magical “. Eclipse, the moon, love, food and you. That’s Amore will be an event of other times, but the eclipse will make it unique forever. That’s why being there.
